Hartwell Aviation Supply Company (HASCO) was founded by Sheldon and Clark Hartwell as a distributor organization for American Screw Co, American Chain and Cable, Littlefuse and Bussman Fuses.
Company start up
Hartwell Manufacturing located in Los Angeles, CA was formed to manufacture aircraft cable terminals to support the war effort

Hartwell latches becomes the standard in industry by offering a multitude of different latch design to satisfy the demanding requirements of these complex machines. Hartwell latches are present on nearly every Western aircraft
Expanding Production
Hartwell business is growing and a new manufacturing facility is built in Rancho Cucamonga, CA in 1968. By 1974, the Los Angeles facility could no longer support the ever growing needs and the headquarters were moved to Placentia, CA
Security for a Changing Aviation World
Hartwell designs the cockpit decompression latch to meet the need for increased cockpit security regulations.
Acquired by TransDigm Group
Hartwell is acquired by the TransDigm Group along with sister companies Electromech, Tyee, and TAC
Major OEM Programs
Hartwell participates in re-engine efforts for major aircraft manufacturers by providing lightweight and cost effective nacelle latches
