MCKECHNIE AEROSPACE NAMES JAMES COSTELLO
PRESIDENT OF FASTNERS GROUP
February 24,2009 … McKechnie Aerospace has announced that it has signed James Costello to the position of President of the newly formed Fastener Division, according to an announcement by Tariq Jesrai, Chief Executive Officer of McKechnie Aerospace.
Prior to joining McKechnie Aerospace, Mr. Costello held the position of Vice President Marketing for SPS’s Aerospace Division and subsequently was Vice President of Global Marketing and Sales for Precision Castparts Corporation, which acquired SPS’s Aerospace Division in 2003. In total, Mr. Costello has over twenty years experience in product engineering, sales, and marketing.
In his new position, Mr. Costello reports directly to Mr. Jesrai and assumes responsibility for all aspects of operations and marketing for the Fastener Division worldwide. The Fasteners Division, comprised of Valley Todeco in North America and the Linread Businesses in the United Kingdom and Europe, are both widely acknowledged as leaders in the design and manufacture of maximum-strength, minimum-weight fasteners, studs, bolts, rivets and slot bearings for critical applications. Through the McKechnie Aerospace Fasteners Division, OEMs and supporting systems manufacturers have access to a valuable supply chain partner, capable of supporting operations in a way that enhances product performance and reduces cost of manufacture and support.

NOTE TO EDITORS: James (Jim) attended Lafayette College, receiving a BS degree in civil engineering in 1972. He also earned his MBA from Temple University in 1992. Jim has been married to his wife, Dorothy since 1985. They reside in Stafford, Pennsylvania. They have two children, Elizabeth and James, who are both attending college on a full-time basis.
